5 Easy Duas and Dhikars You Should Know for Ramadan
1. When breaking the fast:
ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله
Dhahaba adh-Dhama’ wabtallatil ‘urooq wa thabatal ajru inshaa’ Allaah
The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, by the will of Allah.
2. To the one who hosted you to break your fast:
أفطر عندكم الصائمون ، وأكل طعامكم الأبرار ، وصلت عليكم الملائكة
Aftara ‘indakum as-saa’imoon, wa akala ta’aamakum al-abraar, wa sallat alaikum al-malaa’ikah
May the fasting people break their fast at your place, and may the pious eat from your food, and may the angels pray for you
3. When a person behaves aggressively towards you:
إني صائمٌ ، إني صائمٌ
Innee saa’im, innee saa’im
I am fasting, I am fasting
4. Directly after the completion of the Witr Prayer
Subhaan al-malik al-qudoos (3 times, while prolonging the wording at the third time)
Glory be to The King, The Holy One
5. During the potential nights of Laylatul Qadr
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee
O Allah you are forgiving, you love forgiveness, so forgive me
