It is essential for Duas to come from the depths of our heart for Allah to respond. The Duas of prophets came from their hearts, they internalized the wordings and understood exactly what it is they were asking.
Here’s how to make your Duas come from the heart:
1. Get super inspired – this is a critical first step. Extracting Duas from the heart is nearly impossible if you’re not inspired.
2. Talk to your heart, not your brain – this is the most challenging yet profound part. There are things our head wants or our culture wants of us, but it’s not what our heart wants.
3. Internalize the wording – make it your own wording in your own language. Understand and internalize what your tongue is saying. Make it part of your mind, flesh and bones. Care for your Duas in a way that you would never ever forget!
4. Visualize your Duas – our hearts ask with pictures not words! Create a vision board you look at everyday so you’re excited to ask Allah again and again.
5. Start your Dua habit – when you’re making Dua everyday, nonstop, in the times we know Duas are accepted, you’re proving to Allah that you truly care for what you’re asking.
